Here’s some notes, guides and other storyboard related material I’ve gathered over my 34+ years as a Storyboard Artist and Director. Hopefully it may provide a little insight into the board process of other studios and other times.
Gargoyles
A one page guide from the classic show Gargoyles. I think this was way back in 1995 for the Episode “A Bronx Tail”.
Tiny Planets
Two pages of Storyboard guides. I’m not sure the show has aged too well but it was an early dip into 3D for me as a board artist.
Some Western show?
I’ve no idea what show I was working on when I was sent these over. It wasn’t the show the notes refer to. Shame, as I’d love to work on a western!
Gargoyles
The notes don’t refer to the Gargoyles specifically but as far as I can recall these were part of the material sent over when I started work on the show.
Hurricanes Storyboard Specs.
I think these are from 1994 maybe 93. Actually a really fun show to board on.
FYI. The slug was the actual blank tape in between recorded dialogue. So Slugging is the timing of actions between dialogue.
